Although marble is much softer than the quartz used in a standard stone carpet, marble has the advantage that the grains inside have the same colour, so that any wear and tear will hardly be noticeable. Since marble is a natural rock, greater color variations may occur than with a standard stone carpet based on colored pebbles.<\/p>\n<p>This floor consists of <strong>4 layers<\/strong>: primer \u2013 marble carpet \u2013 pore-filler \u2013 topcoat. The minimum floor construction depth of this system is 8 mm. The primer should be chosen ifv the type of substrate. To make it easy for you, we have added a document in <strong><a href=\"#downloads\">Downloads<\/a><\/strong> below so you can easily see for yourself which primer is the most suitable for you.<\/p>\n<p>The PU binder used for this system is 100% UV resistant, which <strong>prevents discolouration<\/strong> and reserves the original colour at all times. This makes the Marbledec Deluxe extremely suitable for use in places that are exposed to heavy sunlight. Not all pigments are UV stable; therefore, a list of colours that have been tested for UV resistance can be found under the downloads section.<\/p>\n<p>Marbledec Premium features a <strong>standard pore-filler<\/strong>. This acrylic screed can be applied very easily and ensures 99% of the openings between the stones are closed. This ensures the floor is easy to keep clean using a vacuum cleaner or water cleaner, or by scrubbing with water and soap-free soap, i.e. Ideal for floors that are used daily.<\/p>\n<p>On top of the pore-filler, Marbledec Premium receives an <strong>additional topcoat<\/strong>: either a standard matte or silk-gloss topcoat or a beautiful glossy <strong>topcoat <\/strong>(a glossy varnish layer). Thanks to the extra UV blockers that have been added, both top coats ensure the <strong>normal discolouration<\/strong> process of the epoxy binder used in the stone carpet will be <strong>greatly slowed down<\/strong>. The glossy version offers 2 additional advantages:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Thanks to theEASY-TO-CLEAN properties, dirt will not adhere to the stone carpet, while coffee, wine, etc. stains are a lot <strong>easier to clean<\/strong> compared to a standard stone carpet.<\/li>\n<li>Unlike most other top coats, this top coat is also resistant to <strong>rubber<\/strong> plasticisers.
